Robert R. Valencia Sr.
Robert R. Valencia Sr. passed away on July 27, 2022 at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 84. He was born on March 12, 1938, in California. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and a range programs manager.
He was preceded in death by wife Emma L. Valencia, son Robert R. Valencia Jr. and parents Raymond and Margarette Valencia.
He is survived by son Ron (Julie) Valencia of Lihu‘e, one grandchild, companion Makiko Texeira of Kapa‘a, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery starting at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Joseph Troche Flores
Joseph Troche Flores passed away on Dec. 17, 2021, at Wilcox Medical Center. He was born on May 21, 1939, in Honolulu.
He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Nora Troche, brother Edmund Salas, and sisters Lorraine Merchan, Lucille Lopez and Diana De Silva.
He is survived by wife Pricilla, brother Edward Troche Jr., children Annette Armstrong, Jay Flores, Vince Flores and Joey Flores, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A celebration of life is Sunday, Aug. 14, at Joyful Community Church, 2-2515 Kaumualii Hwy., Kalaheo, starting at 1 p.m. Due to COVID, face masks are appreciated.
