Mary Kamalu Paikai Medeiros

Mary Kamalu Paikai Medeiros passed away on May 26, 2019, in Kauai. She was born on Dec.19, 1929, in Honolulu. She was a Tour Guide Driver

She is preceded in death by her father and mother Ebenezer and Mabel Paikai; her husband Gilbert Medeiros; son Joseph Medeiros; grandson Kalama Nobriga; brothers, Ebenezer “Biggie” Paikai, James Paikai, Joe Paikai; sisters, May Ho, Miriam Makaena, Shirley Hyman.

She is survived by her sons, Gilbert (Clarita) Medeiros, Antone “Max” (Renee) Medeiros, Hoburn Medeiros; daughters, Elizabeth “Lee” (Jeff) Albao, Gail (Greg) Norbriga, Mary (John) Adviento; step brother George Mahelona; step sister Mamo Mahelona; 14 grandchildren, 21, great grand children, and 3 great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on July 13, 2019, at Holy Cross Church, in Kalaheo. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and Mass will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Family suggests casual attire. Flowers welcome.

There will be a burial to follow at a later date.

Toshie Oshiro

Toshie Oshiro, 78, of Kauai, passed away on July 3, 2019, at home. She was born in Saipan on Nov. 17, 1940, and retired after running her own restaurant.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Katsumi Oshiro.

Toshie is survived by her 3 sons, Roy (Amelia) Oshiro, Dan (Michelle) Oshiro, Guy (Sandra) Oshiro; and 5 grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
