Clara Nuivo

Clara Nuivo passed away on June 14, 2022, at the age of 89. She was born on May 16, 1933, in Hanama‘ulu. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by parents Daniel and Rosalina Rapozo, husband Paustino “Skinny” Nuivo and sister Elizabeth Oyamot.

She is survived by daughters Pamela (Anthony) Pantil, Dawn (Masa Yamamoto) Amorin and Rose (Lelo Tangalin) Horka, sons William “Willie” (April) Nuivo and Kerry (Joy) Nuivo, sisters Bernice Hiranaka, Florence Oyamot, Gwen Zaima, Priscilla (Bob) Rego, Bernadette Hodges and Beverly Rapozo, brother Donald Rapozo, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life is Saturday, July 16, at Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. followed by Mass at 10 a.m.

Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Millard ‘Mac’ McAtee

Millard “Mac” McAtee, 96, of Lihu‘e, passed away at home on May 13, 2022. He was born on Dec. 22, 1925, in Lihu‘e. He was a World War II veteran, a retired Liberty House manager, and a buyer for Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course.

He is survived by son Stuart (Marlene) McAtee, daughter Anne (Jim) Bocci, stepsons Tom Guthrie and Mike (Dawn) Guthrie, and six grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
