Alanna Ellis Agustin

Alanna Ellis Agustin, 68, of Hanama‘ulu, passed away at home on Nov. 3, 2020. She was born in Dec. 23, 1951, and was employed by Hawai‘i Pacific Health at Wilcox Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by husband Crisanto Agustin Sr., and sisters Patricia Farias and Daphne Cremer.

She is survived by children Stacy (Chad) Layosa, Crisanto Agustin Jr., Analisa (James) Kong and Jason (Cheri) Agustin, all of Hanama‘ulu, 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters Celeste (Tony) Farias and Valerie (Timmy) Santos, and numerous nieces, nephews and sisters-in law.

A celebration of life will be on Friday, Dec. 4, at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens, with viewing beginning at 9 a.m. and a blessing at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens. Social distancing and masks are required.

Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eduardo Jimenez Lagundino

Eduardo Jimenez Lagundino, of Waimea, passed away at the age of 71, on Nov. 5, 2020. He was born on May 17, 1949, in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was a retired field hand with Kekaha Sugar Company and Gay & Robinson.

He was preceded in death by parents Santos and Benita Lagundino and brother Holofernes Lagundino.

He is survived by wife Mariana Lagundino of Waimea, brother Ferdinand (Antonia) Lagundino Sr. of ‘Ele‘ele, sister-in-law Orafil Lagundino of Las Vegas, son Ediemar (Cristy) Lagundino of Waimea, daughters Edna (Sky) Lagundino of Hanapepe, Emmaline (Joeben) Lagundino of Koloa and Emarina Lagundino of Waimea, grandchildren Siera (Ethan) Alaibilla-Lagundino of Hanapepe, Racyn (Mai) Ruiz of Waimea, Tiara (Josh) Ruiz of Waimea, Jaedin Lagundino of Lawa‘i, Jonas Villanueva of Koloa, Erik Lagundino of Lawa‘i and Kyara Ruiz of Waimea, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friends and extended family may visit from 11 a.m. to noon at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa. Burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, limited seating will be available, and social distancing and face masks are required.

Eunice Asayo Kinoshita

Eunice Asayo Kinoshita, 94, of Lihu‘e, passed away at home on Nov. 10, 2020. She was born in Lihu‘e on Aug. 9, 1926, and retired from the state of Hawai‘i.

She was preceded in death by husband Kiyoto Kinoshita, daughter Iris Venzon, son-in-law Sione Tuitupou, parents Hajime and Lily Shigematsu, brother Richard (Ulu) Shigematsu, and sisters Helen (Ryohei) Shigematsu, Lilinoe (Charles) Scharsch, Margaret Shigematsu and Gladys (Dexter) Palk.

She is survived by children Harvey (Sandy) Kinoshita, Donna Tuitupou, JoAnne (George) Texeira, Wayne (Denelyn) Kinoshita and Kay Dee (Talisiu) Huni, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, Dec. 5, at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, with viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. with graveside services to follow. Social distancing and masks are required.

Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marcelia ‘Marcy’ Campos Mendonca

Marcelia “Marcy” Campos Mendonca, of Makaweli, passed away in her home at the age of 81, on Nov. 9, 2020. She was born May 16, 1939, in the Philippines. She earner her bachelor’s degree in education at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls, and was a retired Head Start teacher.

She was preceded in death by husband Nelson Mendonca, and parents Francisco Sr. and Clarita Campos.

She is survived by siblings Rudy (Cathy) Campos of California, Fely (Daryll) DeMent of Kaua‘i and Francisco Campos Jr. of Kaua‘i, children Stacy (Manuel Jr.) Manzo of Kaua‘i, David Tayco of California, Sean (Colleen Ford) Tayco of California, Dana (Sandee) Tayco of California, Patrick (Venus) Tayco of California, Debbie (Robert) Hollyer of Washington and Rhonda (Eric) Wilmurt of California, grandchildren Wesley (Ligaya) Keen, Lauren (Robert Lee Parish III) Keen, Howie Manzo, Reyna Manzo, Megan Tayco, Denis Tayco, Aryka (Jeremy) Martini, Sean (Tristen) Tayco, Brandon Tayco, Saijeah Kashiwabara, Austin Ford, Colten Ford, Dana Tayco Jr., Danielle (Miguel) Arreola, Madison Tayco, Kelsey Tayco, Logan Tayco, Palani Mendonca, Savannah Mendonca, Atiya Hollyer, Gavin Hollyer, Jordan Box, Kira Wilmut and Adison Wilmurt, great-grandchildren Thalia Yim, Westyn Keen, Amillia Keen, Hunter Keen, Case Martini, Manhanttan Martini, Abram Martini, Kingston Tayco, Story Tayco, Aaliyah Tayco and Kalani Tayco.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Nov. 20, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawa‘i, with visitation from 4 p.m.

Services on Saturday, Nov. 21, will start at 9:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha, with burial to follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Kalani Telles

Kalani Telles peacefully passed away on Nov. 13, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his wife and two children.

He was born on Oct. 28, 1976. He is the son of Rankin and Charlotte Telles. He is the youngest of three boys: Macy (Maile) and Dustin. Numerous nieces and nephews are also surviving. He courageously battled cancer for 12 years. He was a firefighter with the Kaua‘i Fire Department for 20 years.

He is survived by wife Lisa and children Alexis and Xander. He will be remembered by so many for his contagious smile, kindness and his positive outlook on life.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
