Masajiro Habu passed away on June 27, 2022, at Sterling Ridge Assisted Living Center, at the age of 99. He was born on May 27, 1923, in Lihu‘e. He retired in 1985 as a welder for McBryde Sugar Company and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents Uichiro and Okame Habu, sisters Yasuno Fujii and Annie Iwamoto and son-in-law Vicente Fermin.
He is survived by wife Marjorie Habu, just made 69-year wedding anniversary, son Derek (Hana) Habu, daughter Corine Fermin, sister Satsuki Yokote, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Palm Cemetery and Neptune Society are assisting the family with arrangements.
