Gladys K. Okada
Gladys K. Okada passed away on Feb. 8, 2023, in Lihu‘e, at the age of 91.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1931, in ‘Ele‘ele. She was a retired school teacher at Waimea Canyon School.
She was preceded in death by husband Dr. George S. Okada.
She is survived by daughters Lauri (Eric) Yama of Lihu‘e and Joni (Kerry) Ishihara of O‘ahu, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brother Koichi Tokushige of O‘ahu, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is at the Waimea United Church of Christ on March 4. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m.
The family suggests aloha attire and requests that flowers be omitted.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family the family with arrangements.
