Henry Kamakaokalani Kanahele
Henry Kamakaokalani Kanahele passed away on Feb. 11, 2021, at the age of 71. He was born on Feb. 1, 1950, in Puuwai, Niihau. He was a Ranch Hand on Niihau and Kaua‘i.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife Viglant Wailamaakealoha Kanahele, parents Henry Waiola Kanahele and Eliza Kananipauole Kanahele.
Henry is survived by his sons Jake K. Kaohelaulii of Kekaha, Bryce-John Nalii Kaohelaulii of Kekaha, daughters Nani Jean DeMotta (Michael DeMotta) of Hanapepe, Tiana Kanahele of Kaumakani, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Joseph Aipolani Kanahele (Sharon Kanahele) of Kekaha, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A walk through visitation at Garden Island Mortuary on Feb. 25, 2021, from 9 to 11 a.m. Final viewing and closing prayer at 11 a.m. Aloha attire suggested. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks are required.
